Job Description:
 
  • Provide effective and efficient general lab works
  • Provide essential support to other lab staff in the production of lab testing equipment and experiments
  • Undertake basic machining skills
  • Assist in the assembly and construction of testing rigs for structural testing including working in a wide variety of engineering materials
  • Assist in stripping down the test rigs and equipments and dispose of large completed test specimens
  • To keep the lab working area and the surrounding clean and tidy
  • Assist lab staff in performing in-house maintenance of facilities and lab equipment including machineries, manuals and other facilities
  • Maintain lab inventory of equipment, supplies and testing materials
  • Assist lab staff in the maintenance of testing equipment and other lab facilities
  • Perform other works and other lab works pertinent to the job as per lab manager request
 
Basic Requirement:
 
  • SPM with 2nd Grade or higher / Certificate in Civil, Materials and Metallurgical Engineering (or equivalent)
  • Preferably 35 years old and below with good health
  • Priority will be given to candidates with additional technical certificates from a recognized technical institute (or equivalent) and have previous experience in engineering lab environment.
  • Recommendation letter from previous works or any supporting document
 
Additional Requirement:
 
  • Posses good communication skill in English and Bahasa Malaysia
  • Basic computer knowledge
  • Able to understand work requests and instructions efficiently
  • Self-motivated and able to work without supervision
  • Proven competence and ability in the operation of basic hand and machine tools and other complex operation
  • Willing to work in group, able to communicate with lab colleagues, flexible and able to undertake wide range of duties

Job Description:
 
  • Perform general clerical duties to include but not limited to photocopying, faxing, mailing, and filing
  • Open, sort, and distribute incoming correspondence, including faxes and email
  • Greet visitors and determine whether they should be given access to specific individuals
  • Maintain hard copy and electronic filing system towards procedure in ISO/IEC 17065:2012
  • Setup and coordinate meetings, seminar, and conferences
  • Make travel arrangements for CREAM Certification Services (CCS) staff and CREAM Chief Executive Officer
  • Compile, transcribe, and distribute minutes of meetings
  • Attend meetings in order to record minutes
  • The arrangement on quotations, tax invoices and preparation of reports, memos, letters, and other documents, using word processing, spreadsheet, database, and/or presentation software
  • Set up and oversee administrative policies and procedures for offices and/or organizations
  • Interpret administrative and operating policies and procedures for employees
  • Provides historical reference by developing and utilizing filing and retrieval systems
  • Preparation and collection of Product Certificate of Conformity
  • Secretariat to Certification Advisory Committee and Product Certification Committee
  • Adhere to the established system procedures and guidelines related to certification
  • Contribute ideas and efforts to the development of systems and procedures to enhance the efficiency of the delivery of these services, product certification and to maintain accreditation
  • Keep records and inventory on the client information, audit works, audit reports, and other technical writings
  • Assist in establishing customer focus and promotional activities related to product certification services
  •  Other CCS administration work
 
Basic Requirement:
 
  • Dip. Eng. /Dip. Sc. in Civil/Structural/Mechanical/Manufacturing (or equivalent) from a recognized university / Polytechnic/ College
  • A minimum of two (2) years in the construction or manufacturing industry; or
  • A minimum of one (1) year working experience in Quality Assurance or Conformity Assessment related activities
 
Additional Requirement:
 
  • Basic knowledge of ISO 9001 or ISO/IEC 17065 or ISO/IEC 17025
  • Good oral and written communication skills in both English and Bahasa Malaysia
  • Integrity, high drive, committed and self-motivated
  • Meticulous, resourceful, and able to work independently
  • Computer proficient
  • Competent in the related field and able to work independently
