KUALA LUMPUR, 11 February 2026 – International Construction Week (ICW) & BuildXpo Malaysia 2026 returns this year with renewed momentum under the theme “Beyond Limits,” reflecting the construction industry’s drive to push boundaries through innovation, digitalisation and strategic collaboration.
The flagship event will take place from 10–12 November 2026 at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC), Kuala Lumpur, while ICW Borneo 2026 will be held from earlier, from 12–13 May 2026 in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, reinforcing efforts to strengthen industry connectivity across East and West Malaysia.
Hosted by the Ministry of Works Malaysia and the Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB) Malaysia, and managed by Qube Integrated Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. (Qube), ICW & BuildXpo continues to serve as one of the region’s most established platforms for knowledge exchange, industry engagement and business collaboration within the built environment ecosystem.
Advancing the Industry Beyond Limits
Officiating the soft launch, Datuk Seri Dr. Ahmad Maslan, Deputy Minister of Works, Malaysia, emphasised the importance of innovation and collaboration in shaping the future of construction: “The International Construction Week has been a premier annual platform for the construction industry since its inception in 1999. Over the years, it has grown into a key meeting point for industry players in Malaysia and across the region to showcase innovations, exchange knowledge, and explore emerging opportunities. It calls on the industry to embrace new technologies, smarter infrastructure solutions, and deeper technical knowledge exchange – all of which are essential in driving a resilient and sustainable future for the built environment.”
The 2026 theme aligns with the sector’s ongoing evolution – from digital construction technologies and sustainable materials to smarter infrastructure delivery and stronger regional partnerships – all essential to building a resilient and future-ready built environment.
Strengthening Strategic Industry Partnerships
A key highlight for 2026 is the strategic collaboration between CIDB Malaysia, Qube, and MMI Asia, bringing together complementary exhibitions to enhance industry value.
For the first time, Glasstech Asia & Fenestration Asia (GAFA) will be co-located with ICW & BuildXpo 2026 at MITEC. This integrated platform will enable industry players to explore innovations across construction technologies, façade systems, glass applications and sustainable building solutions under one roof.
Mr. Richard Teo, Executive Chairman, Qube Integrated Malaysia Sdn. Bhd., said: “Over the years, ICW & BuildXpo have grown beyond being simply an exhibition or conference – they have become a pivotal hub for the industry, bringing together policymakers, innovators, businesses, and professionals to exchange ideas, explore solutions, and shape the future of construction. As we move towards ICW & BuildXpo 2026 under the theme ‘Beyond Limits’, our focus remains clear – to continuously elevate the platform so that it delivers tangible value to the industry, supports innovation adoption, and strengthens regional connectivity across ASEAN and beyond.”
Mr. Michael Wilton, Chief Executive Officer, MMI Asia Private Limited, said: “GAFA has developed a strong regional presence through editions in Jakarta, Ho Chi Minh City, Bangkok, and Singapore, consistently providing a dedicated platform for industry professionals to connect, exchange ideas, and strengthen the regional glass and façade sector. By joining ICW & BuildXpo (this year), GAFA will be part of a unified platform where industry expertise, project development, and sector innovation converge. This integrated approach strengthens collaboration, promotes knowledge exchange across disciplines, and reflects the increasingly interconnected nature of the modern construction industry.”
ICW Borneo 2026 Expands Regional Reach
Following the successful inaugural Borneo edition last year, ICW Borneo 2026 will be hosted in Sabah, continuing efforts to strengthen engagement with East Malaysia’s construction ecosystem.
The event will highlight regional infrastructure development, sustainable construction practices and opportunities for collaboration across Malaysia’s diverse construction landscape.
What to Expect at ICW & BuildXpo 2026
This year’s programme will feature:
· A comprehensive trade exhibition showcasing the latest construction technologies, materials and solutions
· Conferences, forums and technical sessions focused on digitalisation, sustainability and industry transformation
· Business matching and regional networking opportunities
· Industry recognition platforms highlighting innovation, excellence and best practices
Together, these elements position ICW & BuildXpo as a platform that combines commercial opportunity with technical knowledge exchange and industry thought leadership.
Driving Industry Progress Together
CIDB Malaysia and its partners invite construction professionals, policymakers, innovators, academics, and industry stakeholders to participate in ICW & BuildXpo 2026 and ICW Borneo 2026.
With a focus on innovation, sustainability and regional collaboration, ICW & BuildXpo 2026 aims to catalyse meaningful dialogue, partnerships and progress that will shape the future of the construction industry in Malaysia and across ASEAN.
