CIDB Malaysia and Construction Research Institute of Malaysia (CREAM) through its newly established Sustainable Construction Excellence Centre (MAMPAN) will organize a training session for MyCREST Qualified Professional (QP)




MyCREST stands for Malaysian Carbon Reduction and Environmental Sustainability Tool, a tool that guides every stakeholder involved in the design, construction, operation & maintenance of building by adopting sustainable development practices. It also aims to quantify the actual carbon emission at every stage of the building life cycle. MyCREST aims to guide, assist, quantify and thereby reduce the built environment’s impact in terms of reduced carbon emissions and other environmental impact. It also aims to integrate socioeconomic considerations related to the built environment and urban development.

CREAM received Business and Research Partnership Award during Malaysia Commercialisation Year 2017 by Minister of Science, Technology & Innovation, YB Datuk Seri Pangloma Wilfred Madius Tangau. The project that received an award is D3 Affordable & Sustainable Housing which bring the concept of village open air or “rumah ibu”. The project has applied Industrialised Building System (IBS) with 562 units and will be launched early next year under Rumah Selangorku (RSku) scheme by Sime Darby Property.

KUCHING: Private companies have been called on to come forward and work together with the Centre of Research Excellence on Peat Soils (CoPS) in carrying out research and development (R&D) on solutions to construction on peat soil.

Two tenders were opened by CREAM and CIDB to all qualified suppliers on 2 October 2017 and were closed on 20 October 2017. A total of 11 tender proposals were received and evaluated. Below is the list of price for public display.

The Sustainable Construction Excellence Centre (MAMPAN), a division of the Construction Research Institute of Malaysia (CREAM) was pleased to welcome CEEQUAL Ltd verifier to visit their center on Monday 5th June 2017. Mr. Mark Barrett was in Malaysia for the verification of Malaysian pilot studies through CEEQUAL assessment for West Coast Expressway (WCE) and Duta Ulu-Kelang Expressway phase 3 (DUKE 3).

MAMPAN is targeting to develop and promote the use of sustainable infrastructure ratings in Malaysia prior to promoting sustainable construction approaches and practices within construction industries. Mr. Mark spent approximately half an hour for a brief discussion with the CREAM Chief Executive Officer, Ir. Dr. Zuhairi bin Abd Hamid. Then, he was given a tour of the CREAM laboratory and given a briefing on the current work being carried out to promote sustainable infrastructure in Malaysia. 


Kementerian Kerja Raya, Jabatan Kerja Raya dan Lembaga Pembangunan Industri Pembinaan Malaysia (CIDB) telah melancarkan Malaysian Carbon Reduction and Environmental Sustainability Tool (MyCREST). MyCREST merupakan sebuah sistem PENILAIAN BANGUNAN HIJAU yang bertujuan untuk membimbing, membantu, mengukur, seterusnya mengurangkan kesan alam bina dari segi pelepasan karbon dan kesan alam sekitar. Pihak CIDB Malaysia dan CREAM melalui Sustainable Construction Excellence Centre (MAMPAN) akan mengadakan Siri Jelajah (Roadshow) bagi memperkenalkan MyCREST dan memberikan pendedahan kepada penggiat indusri berkaitan amalan baik pembinaan mampan serta insentif-insentif yang berkaitan dengannya. Program ini merupakan hasil kerjasama bersama rakan strategik iaitu Jabatan Kerja Raya (JKR), Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA), Malaysian Green Technology Corporation (GreenTECH Malaysia) dan Real Estate & Housing Developer’s Association Malaysia (REHDA)
